Selamat Hari Raya & Maaf Zahir Batin
Hari Raya Puasa @ Eidilfitri is coming next week. So all of us especially the Muslim are looking forward to it. After a month of fasting and hardship, finally the celebration day is around the corner. Maybe some of us have already taken their days off for holiday or balik kampung. Good for them as Raya is once a year-affair only; I guess they have a good reason to be excited about it.
In Malaysia, the culture of balik kampung and open house are grand and important one during Raya. Raya is simply not completed without them. That’s why we have to balik kampung even for a short while and then hold an open house for our relatives and friends.
This year, my Raya is different from my previous Raya as for the first time, I will be celebrating Raya with my wife, my son and my wife’s family in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. I never celebrate my first day of Raya outside Kuala Terengganu, I hope it will be a great and memorable one.
Apparently Raya is a special day for us to forgive others, to forget the wrongs and to renew all the broken tie, relationship or friendship and to expand our goodwill on others. Ultimately it is a day for us to ask for God’s forgiveness and blessing.
Therefore, I wish Selamat Hari Raya to you all and please forgive me for any mistake, wrong, omission & oversight that I’ve committed before whether intentionally or otherwise.
That’s all folks. Have a wonderful holiday.
