Today's work is for tomorrow's cheque

This morning, I arrived at my office at 9.30 a.m., a bit late actually but I got a wife at home who is going to deliver my baby any time now. I guess I have to spend lots of quality time with her as much as I can. So we enjoyed our breakfast together till 9.15 a.m. maybe it was our last breakfast together for this week, who knows. I’m gonna miss that moment once she delivered coz most of her time would be dedicated to the baby soon.

At the office I perused all the new letters, cause papers and then did some legal works, I called a few clients to update them and also requested settlement for my outstanding bills. It seems that everybody is having financial problems now. Maybe our country current economy condition is not that feasible for business oriented people. Most of my clients are asking for extra time to pay up. What can I do, I cannot shoot them.

While checking my fax machine this morning, I noticed a brief statement written on my small notice board, it said “Today’s Preparation Determines Tomorrow’s Achievement”. I was fascinated and captivated by those words. It was so true. It is what happened to me all the time.

The truth is, after I have done and finished my works properly and correctly, the rewards will come from my clients, they will pay my professional service without hesitation. In my line of duty, I got paid after I did my works. The same goes to my marketing strategy, my contacts today usually end up as my clients or friends, I never know what I gonna get from these people or how much I’m gonna get paid soon. Knowing people is an investment for my future. I always meet strangers, then slowly I get to know them, then some of them will have legal problems later or they will need my service to purchase houses or other property. I’m so agreed with those words.

One of my learned friends told me once that one person will bring a fortune to me within one year and another person will shorten the time by one day. So he advised me to get to know one person everyday, so eventually I can get a fortune everyday. It sounds weird but it’s true. It is a brilliant investment. One thing leads to another. It is a fact actually. So now, I’m trying my best to get close to many people that I know. The mantra is “Don’t look down to people and don’t make them feel bad about themselves”.

I guess it’s true that I need to find a million friends and marry only one of them. I’m so glad that I’ve done the latter.

That’s all for today folks. Have a wonderful day.
