Who's the boss?

i used to work for other people. i called myself an employee. i called my employer as “boss”. i got an appointment letter. i got my salary at the end of the month. my boss paid me EPF and Socso. my boss gave me instructions and orders. i had to make my boss happy at all time. i could not say ‘NO’ to my boss. i had to generate income for my boss. i had to come to work early. i had a punch card. i had a supervisor who monitored me. i had salary slips and claims slips. i had what an employee should have. i had to answer to my boss…… i loved and hated my boss.

but those days are gone.

now i’m my own boss. i make my own money. i generate my own income. i pay and disburse myself. i pay taxes. i pay monthly salaries to my employees plus their EPF & Socso. i give them allowances. my employees call me ‘boss’, they treat me seriously. i give them orders and directions. i teach them my works. i expect them to follow my instructions. i expect them to do their job. i expect them to expect me as their boss.

but no matter what, i realize that whether i’m an employee or a boss, i have to be nice to people at all time. be it my boss, my employee or my colleague, i have no right to treat them badly. i cannot make people feel bad about themselves. i cannot look down to people. i learn that i have to treat people like i want them to treat me.

i must earn respect, not buy respect, coz i want people to remember me with respect and admiration. i believe that the best thing that could happen to me is when everybody treat and remember me with honor, respect, love and admiration. this is my ultimate dream.

so who’s the boss. you are your own boss actually.
