To Muslims Nabi Isa a.s. or ‘Jesus Christ’ as called by Christians, is one of their Prophets and Messengers of God sent to guide and teach humankind. He was human and not immortal. He received revelations and guidance from God. He was born without a father and he was not a son of God. His mother is Siti Maryam a.s. or “Mother Mary” as called by Christians. She was never married and she was a virgin. Jesus Christ was born in Jews community. The Jews betrayed him and attempted to murder him but God saved him and put him in heaven.

To Muslims, Jesus Christ was not crucified by anyone, he was not murdered by anyone and he is still alive till today. God Almighty has saved his soul and put him in heaven. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. had met and talked to Jesus Christ in heaven during his journey to see God Almighty. Muslims called the journey as “Isra’ Mikraj”. Literally it means the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w one night-traveled from Mecca to Jerusalem and then he ascended to highest heaven to face God Almighty and received orders and revelations from God Almighty. He was back in Mecca on the same night.

According to some Islamic Jurists, Nabi Isa a.s. or ‘Jesus Christ’ will return to this world before the end of the world to defeat the ‘Dajjal’ or Evil Force and he will restore good order to this world. He will be a leader to Muslims not to Jews or Christians. Some of Muslims are counting the days for the homecoming of Jesus Christ.

I read with great interests the novel titled as “the Da Vinci Code” authored by Dan Brown. The story is a brave attempt to portray that Jesus Christ was only a human being and a true prophet sent by God Almighty to guide and preach humankind. He was not a son of God and he was married to a woman named “Mary Magdalene”. They even had a child. She had to run away and hide herself and their descendants from being murdered or crucified by the same people who murdered Jesus Christ. Their lineage or bloodline is safe and alive till today. They are well protected by a secret society called as the “Priory of Scion”. The members of the secret society are all prominent artists, leaders and public figures i.e. Leonardo Da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Botacelli, etc.

The novel put the Roman Catholic Church in very bad light. The Church, the Pope and the Vatican are all a big fraud. They cover up the truth from the world. They do not represent the Jesus Christ actually. They made up the story that Jesus Christ is a son of God. In fact, they are the one who keep trying to murder the direct descendants of Jesus Christ. They have twisted and distorted the truth for their own selfish gains. They want to murder the direct descendants of Jesus Christ to protect the sanctity and power of the Church. They are afraid that the Christians will no longer trust and serve them if the truth prevails.

So much of a critic. Anyway I recommend the novel to anyone who loves reading thriller and adventure. Good luck.
