life is too short
after my beloved mother passed away on 2nd of June 2007, I realize and learn a lot of new lessons. Some of them I never thought before. My perspective of life has changed dramatically and may be forever. I accepted her death as God’s will and inescapable destiny...
One thing for sure is that God is most great and most merciful. He creates death as a reminder and lesson to those who live. Life and death are something we can’t escape. Death will come to us sooner or later. Can you tell me of someone who lives forever? Not that I know. Am I ready for death and its consequences? I can’t answer that dreadful question for now.
After the funeral of my late mother, my family held prayer sessions or tahlil for three straight days so her soul will rest in peace and in God’s forgiveness & blessing. Once in a while, I thought to myself, when will I see and talk to her again? Obviously, we are separated forever and beyond the end of this world. The sorrow & grief of losing her have humbled me greatly. I always pray that God will forgive my mother and have mercy on her soul.
I had visited my younger sister several times at the hospital, she was badly injured and she was hospitalized for more than a month. She stayed at the neuro-ward with several others….
at the hospital..
I saw patients suffering…
I saw their family and relatives crying and hoping for miracles…
I saw hope and forgiveness in their teary eyes…
I saw pure humility and sincerity…
I saw patience and endurance…
I saw a lot.…
May Allah forgive us all….
